National Park Service Director Jonathan B. Jarvis hosted this national online discussion with the public about relevancy, diversity, and inclusion in the National Park Service. Jarvis and a panel of experts responded to questions submitted before and during the event. Hundreds of people participated in the online discussion via the web and social media.
The panel included Dr. Nina Roberts, professor in the department of Recreation, Parks, &Tourism at San Francisco State University and director of the Pacific Leadership Institute, and Mike Reynolds, NPS associate director for Workforce, Relevancy and Inclusion (RDI). Reynolds oversees the NPS human capital, training, RDI, youth, and recruitment programs nationwide. The discussion was moderated by Sangita Chari, special assistant to the associate director for RDI.
