Mobile Application Privacy Policy
This privacy policy governs your use of individual mobile applications (from hereon referred to as "application") created by the National Park Service.

User-Provided Information
The application does not collect any user-provided information.

What We Collect and Store Automatically
The application collects and stores certain information automatically. This information is anonymized and does not identify you personally. We automatically collect and store only the following information:
  • the IP address of your mobile device;
  • information about your mobile device—including the type of device, the operating system running on it, and internet browser(s) used (if any);
  • the date and time you access the application; and
  • information about the way you use the application, such as which sections of the application you visit.
We use the information we collect to count the number and type of users of the application to help us make it more useful to visitors like you.

Real-time Location Information
When you use the mobile application, we may use GPS technology (or other similar technology) to determine the current location of the device being used to access the application in order to determine where it's located and display a location map with relevant information. The application does not share the location with others.

If you do not want us to use the location of the device for the purposes set forth above, you should turn off location services for the application in the device's settings and/or within the application's settings.

If You Send Us Email
You may choose to provide us with personal information, as in email with a comment or question. We use the information to improve our service to you or to respond to your request. Sometimes we forward your email to other government employees or authorized concessioners who may be better able to help you. Except for authorized law enforcement investigations, we do not share our email with any other outside organizations.

Links to Other Sites
Our application may have links to our partners, especially other federal agencies. In a few cases we link to private organizations. When you click one of these partner links, you are no longer viewing content from the National Park Service and are subject to the privacy policy of the new site.

Kids' Privacy
This application does not ask for or collect personal individually identifiable information from kids.

Be careful on the web!

This application is just a gateway to the National Park Service. That means that when you click on a link, you will be leaving our site. Government sites that we provide links to also have to follow special rules for their kids' sites, but non-government sites do not have to follow the same rules. You may click to a site that will ask you for personal information like your name, address, telephone number, or email address. Before you provide any information, show your parent or some other responsible adult what you are doing. Be safety smart!
