President Barack Obama signed a Presidential Proclamation on October 8, 2012, creating the César E. Chávez National Monument in Keene, CA, at Nuestra Señora Reina de la Paz, the national headquarters of the United Farmworkers of America and the home of César Chávez from 1971-1993.
