National Volunteer Week
Zion National Park will celebrate National Park Week and National Volunteer Week on Saturday, April 16, 2011. In observance of these events and to highlight healthy activities, the National Park Service is offering an opportunity for people to volunteer in Zion National Park. The volunteer project will include a clean-up along the Scenic Drive and the Emerald Pools trails.
Volunteers are asked to gather at the Zion Canyon Visitor Center on Saturday, April 16 at 9:00 a.m. The project will last until 1 p.m. Participants should wear clothing appropriate for working outside including a hat and sturdy shoes. Trash bags, gloves, snacks, and water will be provided for participants.
Everyone is welcome to join the project. No registration is required for individuals. Groups larger than 10 people are required to pre-register. Minors under the age of 18 must be joined by an adult.
