Borrowing Instructions

These Traveling Trunks can be checked out from the Fairbanks Alaska Public Lands Information Center located inside the Morris Thompson Cultural and Visitors Center between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:30. Trunks may be checked out for a two week period and may be reserved up to three months in advance of checkout.  A refundable deposit of $20.00 is required at the time of check-out. The deposit will be refunded upon return of the kits by 4:00 PM on the due date. Your presence is required during check-in. 

At a rural school in Alaska?  No problem!  We will ship all of our kits to rural schools. Generally, FAPLIC pays the shipping one way and the school pays the return postage.
