JANUARY 2013 DRAFT PLAN: Read about the draft plan and download it
SUMMARY GUIDE: Read a 20-page digest with an inserted 2-page matrix

Due to the complexity of the Merced Wild and Scenic River Draft Comprehensive Management Plan and Environmental Impact Statement, Yosemite held a comment period from Jan. 18-April 30, 2013, which included a 12-day extension to the original 100-day comment period.(View the publication of the EPA notice in the Federal Register [198 kb PDF].) Although the comment period has closed, background content can still be viewed online through the Planning, Environment, and Public Comment (PEPC) site at http://parkplanning.nps.gov/mrp_deis. During the comment period, public meetings were scheduled in various locations to allow multiple opportunities for the public, Yosemite's interdisciplinary planning team, and subject-matter experts to interact.

Public involvement is a key part of the Merced River planning process.

View the Summary Guide: To help orient readers, a 20-page Summary Guide serves as a condensed digest of the plan. This guide describes the plan's framework and gives insight into considerations for managing a Wild and Scenic River within a national park.
