Ruling on the 2005 Merced River Comprehensive Management Plan
The United States Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit has ruled in favor of the Plaintiffs and against Yosemite National Park in the matter of the 2005 Merced River Plan.
The ruling can be found the court's website and on the Yosemite National Park website.

CANCELLED: Tuolumne Public Planning Workshop on April 12
The Tuolumne Public Planning Workshop scheduled for Saturday, April 12 from 9 am to 4 pm in the Yosemite Valley Visitor Center Auditorium has been CANCELLED while park management considers the implications of the aforementioned Merced River Plan ruling on current planning efforts. Low intensity fire in Yosemite  

Did You Know?
Natural fires in Yosemite are often no more than a single burning snag (standing dead tree) or a slow moving, low intensity fire that cleans underbrush from the forest floor. These fires prevent unwanted fires by removing accumulating forest debris that can fuel a larger fire in hot, dry conditions.
