The National Park Service invites the public to participate in a series of public events as part of management planning for the Tuolumne Wild and Scenic River and Tuolumne Meadows area.

On February 6, 2007 from 12 pm to 2 pm, a Yosemite Forum presentation will be given to summarize the numerous studies and research efforts conducted in Tuolumne this summer. Information from this work will be used to prepare both the Tuolumne Wild and Scenic River Comprehensive Management Plan and the Tuolumne Meadows Plan.

Additionally, on February 10 and February 24, 2007, from 9am to 4pm, the public is invited to become a "Planner For a Day." These interactive workshops are intended to give participants an opportunity to sit at the planning table with NPS staff and work on many of the issues that are being addressed in the Tuolumne planning effort.

These events will be held in the Valley Visitor Center Auditorium. Visitors attending the Yosemite Forum or the planning workshops will have the park entrance fee waived.

To attend either or both of the workshops, please RSVP by phone at 209/379-1365, fax 209/379-1294, or email us. (RSVP is not required for the Yosemite Forum presentation.) For more information on this and other Yosemite projects, visit online at www.nps.gov/yose/planning.
