Bob Landis - Howling Coyote

Photo of coyote howling with steam visible from its mouth

On February 16, 2005 Bob Landis was filming near Junction Butte when he spotted a coyote that was beautifully lit by the late afternoon sun. The background behind the coyote was in the shade so Bob could see the coyote's breath as he filmed. When another coyote nearby started to howl, Bob got ready for a great opportunity. Moments later the coyote that was being filmed returned the howl and Bob got a great shot of a coyote howling with its breath highly visible against the dark background.
