Full and half-day interpretive tours in heated over-the-snow vehicles. Serving Old Faithful, Mammoth Hot Springs, West Yellowstone, and Flagg Ranch-these tours also serve as winter transportation. For reservations please call (307) 344-7311.

Grand Canyon Day Tour (from Mammoth and Old Faithful)
The Grand Canyon and impressive Lower Falls add new meaning to the word "breathtaking." The trip from either Old Faithful or Mammoth travels through meadows and pine forests and often provides prime wildlife viewing opportunities.

Norris Geyser Basin Tour (Mammoth)
Travel to the Norris Geyser Basin. The highlight of the tour is the walk around the steamy geyser basin, with its colorful springs and geysers.

Wake Up to Wildlife (Mammoth)

Grand Canyon Ski Tour (from Old Faithful)
Enjoy a special day of ski touring at the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. Travel by snowcoach with experienced guides to trails along the canyon rim to view the frozen Lower Falls. A midmorning snack and lunch are included.

Some groups of Shoshone Indians, who adapted to a mountain existence, chose not to acquire the horse. These included the Sheep Eaters, or Tukudika, who used dogs to transport food, hides, and other provisions. The Sheep Eaters lived in many locations in Yellowstone.
