Repairs to a section of road between Mammoth Hot Springs and Tower Junction will mean delays or detours for motorists beginning next week. Road crews will use heavy equipment to remove and recycle the asphalt and repair the road surface. The project is scheduled to start Tuesday, July 31 and run through Tuesday, August 7. Weekdays between 6:00 am and 8:30 pm, cars or pick-up trucks will be subject to delays of at least 30-minutes. Wide and long vehicles such as motor homes, pick-up campers, vehicles pulling trailers, delivery trucks, and tour buses may be subject to delays of up to two hours, or may be detoured around the construction through Canyon and Norris Junction. No repair work is slated for Saturday, August 4, or Sunday, August 5. Updated road information is available 24-hours a day by calling (307) 344-2117. - www.nps.gov/yell - |
