Arthur Fire News Release: July 31, 2001

Yellowstone NP (WY) - The National Interagency Coordination Center (NICC) in Boise , Idaho has dispatched a national Type 1* Incident Management Team** (IMT) (Frye) to the Arthur Fire. Active fire behavior and some torching were observed yesterday.

* Type: The capability of a firefighting resource in comparison to another type. Type 1 usually means a greater capability due to power, size, or capacity.

 **Incident Management Team - This is a team of highly trained, experienced individuals who are organized to manage large and/or complex incidents.
