Entries Sought For Eighth Annual Yellowstone Fall Photo Festival

Amateur and professional photographers are invited to share some of their favorite national park pictures with the public during the Eighth Annual Fall Photo Festival to be held later this month in West Yellowstone.

In past years, entries have been restricted to pictures from Yellowstone National Park or the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.

This year, photographers are encouraged to share photos taken in any of the nearly 400 National Park Service sites, in conjunction with the “America’s Best Idea” theme of both National Public Lands Day, and the film series by Ken Burns which will premiere on PBS in late September.

Each photographer may submit up to 25 digital images, and will be asked to take no more than five minutes to narrate the stories of the photographs.

The public is encouraged to attend the festival presentations which will be held Wednesday evening, September 30 at 7:00 p.m., in the Community Room of the West Yellowstone Visitor Information Center.

Interested photographers should contact Rich Jehle at 307-344-2840 for more information.  Participants must register by Friday, September 25.

The annual Fall Photo Festival is co-sponsored by the National Park Service and the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center.
