The four virtual tours below will take you through a series of rooms in Wupatki Pueblo. They were shot during an archeological backfill project. Panning down to the floor in the first video you will notice a modern irrigation pipe that was put in to help divert rainwater out of the room thus helping to protect the pueblo's structural integrity. Did You Know?
In the 1100s, Wupatki residents harvested rainwater to supplement springs and seeps that dot the arid landscape. Today, drinking water comes from wells drilled 900 feet deep.
