There are a variety of rules and regulations that help us protect park resources and provide visitors with a safe and enjoyable experience. The Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and the Superintendent's Compendium provide a complete listing of park rules and regulations.

Did You Know?
The fishwheel, today a common means of harvesting salmon on Alaska’s Copper River, first appeared in North America in Eastern North Carolina, where it was used to catch shad on the Roanoke and Pee Dee Rivers.
