Per Person Entrance Fees

Individual Permit - $4.00
Admits one individual 16 years of age and over traveling in a private non-commercial vehicle, or with an organized non-profit group (e.g., service organization, scouts, church groups, etc.) for 1-7 consecutive days.

Individuals 15 years of age and under are admitted free.

Annual and Lifetime Passes
(available for purchase at entrance station)

Wright Brothers National Memorial Annual Pass - $20.00

  • Allows unlimited entry to Wright Brothers National Memorial for 12 months from date of purchase.
  • Pass admits the passholder(s) + 3 adults (16 years of age and older).

America the Beautiful – National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass - $80.00

  • Provides access to, and use of, Federal recreation sites that charge an Entrance or Standard Amenity Fee. Pass is valid for one year from date of purchase.
  • Pass admits the passholder/s and passengers in a non-commercial vehicle at per vehicle fee areas, and passholder + 3 adults (16 years of age and older), at per person fee areas.

America the Beautiful – National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass – Senior Pass - $10.00

  • A lifetime pass for U.S. citizens or permanent residents age 62 and over. The pass provides access to, and use of, Federal recreation sites that charge an Entrance or Standard Amenity fee. 
  • The pass admits the passholder and passengers in a non-commercial vehicle at per vehicle fee areas and passholder + 3 adults (16 years of age and older), at per person fee areas.
  • Proof of age and residency is required. 
  • Pass must be obtained in person.

America the Beautiful – National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass – Access Pass – FREE

  • A lifetime pass issued to U.S. citizens or permanent residents with a permanent disability. 
  • The pass provides access to, and use of, Federal recreation sites that charge an Entrance or Standard Amenity fee. 
  • The pass admits the passholder and passengers in a non-commercial vehicle at per vehicle fee areas and passholder + 3 adults (16 years of age and older), at per person fee areas.
  • Pass must be obtained in person.

America the Beautiful – National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass – Volunteer Pass – FREE

  • This pass is for volunteers acquiring 500 service hours on a cumulative basis. 
  • It provides access to, and use of, Federal recreation sites that charge an Entrance or Standard Amenity Fee. 
  • Pass is valid for one year from date of award. 
  • Pass admits the passholder and passengers in a non-commercial vehicle at per vehicle fee areas, and passholder + 3 adults (16 years of age and older), at per person fee areas.
  • Contact the park at 252-473-2111 to learn about volunteer opportunities within the Outer Banks Group.

All Golden Age and Golden Access Passports will continue to be honored according to the provisions of the pass.

Commercial Tour Fees

Fees are assessed based on the passenger capacity of the vehicle

  • Sedan (seating capacity of 1-6 passengers) - $25 + $4 per person
  • Van/Small Bus (seating capacity of 7-25 passengers) - $40
  • Motorcoach (seating capacity of 26+ passengers) - $100

Passes are not applicable for commercial tour fees.

Educational Groups

Entrance fees may be waived for educational groups visiting the park as part of their accredited curriculum. The fee waiver application and associated materials must be submitted at least four weeks prior to your visit. more…
