National Park Service staff of the Outer Banks Group, along with a volunteer from Manteo High School, recently participated in a belated National Public Lands Day event at Wright Brothers National Memorial. The voluntary clean-up, a concerted effort by park staff to prepare the grounds of the Memorial for several special events to take place later in October, had previously been scheduled for late September but was postponed due to excessive rain.
