At this tea, Elizabeth Cady Stanton poured out her "long-accumulating discontent" about woman's place in society. The idea for a Women's Rights Convention, first explored by Stanton and Mott at the World Convention on Anti-Slavery in London in 1840, was reintroduced here. |
