Seneca Falls, NY – After a summer of research into the archeological finds at Women's Rights NHP, Cultural Resource Diversity Intern Michelle Gauthier knows her historic toothbrushes. Gauthier, a resident of Murfreesboro, TN is studying for her master's degree in history at Middle Tennessee State University. She is one of thirteen students chosen nationwide to work in historical settings through the National Park Service Cultural Resources Diversity Internship Program.
During the park's annual CURATOR CORNER program, Gauthier will share her research and display items from the park's collection that demonstrate the economic ties between upstate New York and the Atlantic seaboard in the mid to late 1800s. She will also describe the virtual exhibit she created as her summer project. Using objects from the museum collection, the exhibit will be housed on the NPS homepage.
Catch Gauthier's program at Women's Rights National Historical Park Visitor Center at 136 Fall Street in Seneca Falls, New York on Friday, August 2 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
