Women’s Rights National Historical Extends Artwork Exhibition by Andrea Arroyo

Seneca Falls, NY--Women's Rights National Historical Park has extended an artwork exhibition by the renowned artist Andrea Arroyo.This exhibition of twenty artworks, entitled "Presencia" (Presence), will continue to be on public display through November 11, 2013, in the Women's Rights NHP Visitor Center, located at 136 Fall Street in Seneca Falls, New York.

"Presencia" (Presence) celebrates women's strength and courage, and it honors the female body," said Ms. Arroyo.While commemorating the lives and stories of some extraordinary historical figures like Malinche (Mexico, 1496), Gabriela Mistral (Chile, 1889), and Cleopatra (Egypt, 69 BC), Ms. Arroyo also celebrates the role of women in contemporary society and brings attention to issues of gender discrimination and gender justice.

"We are delighted to continue hosting this wonderful exhibit," said Superintendent Ami Ghazala."We invite everyone to come view these beautiful pieces of art," added Superintendent Ghazala.
