Seneca Falls, NY-The Wesleyan Chapel, site of the First Women's Rights Convention in 1848, will ring with the music of Geneva's own Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Choir to celebrate the life  and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., who became a leader of the Civil Rights Movement.

On Saturday, January 17th, Women's Rights National Historical Park will host the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Choir, which will sing inspirational songs of gospel in accompaniment with numerous talented musicians to mark the 85th anniversary of Dr. King's birth.Come listen, enjoy, and learn about the musical genre that Dr. King loved and sang as a child growing up in Georgia.

The Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Choir is an interdenominational, multi-cultural gospel choir formed in 1980 to provide musical support to commemorative services honoring the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s life and legacy.Under the leadership of Patrisha Blue, the choir has grown to include singers and musicians from throughout New York State although the majority of participants are affiliated with churches and organizations in the Finger Lakes region.The choir has performed before the New York State legislature in Albany, at numerous community festivals, and in local churches to celebrate Black History Month.
