The visitor center and the cave are accessible to people with limited mobility. Limited areas of the cave are accessible to wheelchairs. Please call ahead to make special arrangements or ask at the information desk for a special tour. There are fees charged for these services. Call the park 605-745-4600 for more information.

Porcupine babies are called porcupettes. When they are born they have 15,000 quills. Porcupettes are born in the spring and, lucky for mom, the quills are soft. They can climb trees within an hour of birth.
