Contact: Tom Farrell, 605-745-1130 WIND CAVE NATIONAL PARK, S.D. - Fire restrictions in place since mid-March have been lifted at Wind Cave National Park. Park superintendent Vidal Davila announced today that due to recent rains, cooler weather, and the start of the spring green up, normal park operations and fire restrictions are now in effect. Fire monitors will continue to watch for changes and future fire closures may occur due to the warm/dry spring conditions that still exist in portions of the southern Black Hills. For more information, call the park at 605-745-4600. |
