Scarlet Globemallow increases during periods of heavy grazing and during drought periods.  Plains Indians made of paste out of this plant by chewing it.  The paste was used on burns and sores as a soothing salve.

Did You Know?
Littleleaf pussytoes can vary in color by elevation. Generally at higher elevations the plant has deeply pink bracts. At lower elevations they are more commonly white.
