Abstract

The cavern insects of Wind Cave have been previously studied during 1959. A summary of this collection is as follows: 1 Ant lion, 1 Oniscid isopod, 1 Immature cave cricket, 1 ant, 1 Diptera larva, 1 Silphid larva, 2 juvenile phalangids, 3 Anthicid beetles, 4 Entotrophi, 6 Psocids, 10 flies, 12 spiders, 35 mites, 140 Collembola. Of specific importance, a new species an dpossible new genus of collumbola was found and tentatively identified as Parrhopalites (Steward Peck Survey, 1959).
