Abstract

This checklist includes the names of 94 species of birds observed in Wind Cave National Park. The main information source is the writers' personal observations and records. A few sightings of other Rangers are included and Pettingill and Whitney's Birds of the Black Hills served as a reference where subspecies are mentioned. The listings and nomenclature are those used in teh American Ornithologists' Union Check-list of North American Birds, 5th edition, 1957.
