Necessary Evil is one of the few drops in Wind Cave that actually require a rope. It is a 45-foot rope drop into the Lunatic Fringe.  It was first entered on July 9, 1994 by Evan Anderson, Bruce Albright, Hazel Barton, and Paul Burger.
