Jason Walz, Seth Spoelman, Barry Oost, Jessica Weinman Jason's friends cat, named Kah, makes depression in their yard which they call Kah pits. Since this room reminded Jason of these pits, he named it after the cat.

Rod Horrocks, Joe Oliphant, John Citta, Marc Pedersen A chert-ceilinged crawl discovered by the survey party. It was named for Joe's dog after a chert concretion was found that strongly resembled a dogs femur. Karelian is also a province between Finland and Russia.
