John Scheltens and Dave Springhetti found this area of Wind Cave on December 29, 1979.  The Crown Jewels is a huge quartz geode found in this room which has finger-like projections with manganese interiors. The beautiful crystals resemble jewels. Also known as the Ice Storm.
