Wind Cave National Park
Self Guided

There are no self-guided tours into Wind Cave.  However, the park maintains over 30 miles of hiking trails and three self-guided nature trails where teachers and students are welcome to explore the prairies and forests of the park.  Teachers are welcome to take their students on any of these trails.

Please be aware that park wildlife also roam these trails and teachers should take caution when they and their students are around wildlife.

Cave tours are presented daily except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.  Teachers are welcome to bring their class to participate in regularly scheduled cave tours or to participate in the park's environmental education programs.  Contact the park at 605-745-4600 for more information.
