* Nature Walks begin at the "Sunset Stroll" sign along the Dunes Drive, about 5 miles from Visitor Center.

 ** Reservations for the Lake Lucero tour are required and may be obtained by calling (505) 479-6124 or (505) 679-2599 ex. 236. A $3.00 per person special fee is charged. $1.50 for children (15 and under) and holders of Golden Age/Access passports. If you cannot keep your reservations, please notify the Monument immediately so that others may join the tour.

Did You Know?
The white sands dune field is an active dune field. The dunes move from west to east as much as thirty feet per year.
