WHISKEYTOWN ENTRANCE FEES

All vehicles parked at Whiskeytown must display a valid entrance pass on the driver's side of the dashboard.  Citations for failure to display a permit start at $75.  By purchasing a pass, you are directly contributing to improvements at Whiskeytown.

Fees Per Vehicle

  • $5.00 Day - Valid at Whiskeytown on date of purchase only.
  • $10.00 Week - Valid at Whiskeytown for 7 days from date of purchase.
  • $25.00 Annual - Valid for one year from month of purchase

  • Senior, Access, or Volunteer Pass
  • Golden Age, Access Passports
Day use passes may be purchased at eleven pay-by-envelope stations throughout the park and at the Visitor Center.

Whiskeytown Annual passes and the Interagency Passes, including the America the Beautiful Annual, Senior, and Access passes are only available for purchase and issue at the Whiskeytown Visitor Center.


Mark Your 2012 Calendars for Fee Free Days at Whiskeytown!


Whiskeytown National Recreation Area joins national parks across the nation in waiving the entrance fees on 17 days in 2012. The following dates are fee free:*

  • January 14-16:  Marin Luther King Jr. weekend
  • April 21-29:  National Park Week and Waterfall Week at Whiskeytown
  • June 9:  Get Outdoors Day
  • September 29:  National Public Lands Day and Pick up Lake Litter Day at Whiskeytown
  • November 10-12:  Veterans Day Weekend

*Fee waiver includes: entrance fees, commercial tour fees, and transportation entrance fees. Other fees such as reservation, camping, tours, concession and fees collected by third parties are not included unless stated otherwise.
