National Park Service to hold Ticket Distribution for annual White House Easter Egg Roll

On Saturday, March 22, 2008, the National Park Service will distribute free, timed-entrance tickets to the general public for the annual White House Easter Egg Roll. A smaller, second allotment of tickets will be distributed on Monday, March 24. The annual White House Easter Egg Roll will be held Monday, March 24, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on the South Lawn of the White House.

The majority of tickets to the annual White House Easter Egg Roll will be distributed at the Ellipse Visitor Pavilion at the southwest corner of 15th and E Streets, N.W., beginning at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 22, with the smaller second allotment of tickets available beginning at 7:30 a.m. on Monday, March 24, also distributed from the Ellipse Visitor Pavilion.

The tickets, which are timed for entry, will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. A maximum of five tickets will be issued per person. Tickets are required for every attendee, including all children. Children of all ages are welcome to attend, as long as there is at least one child seven years old or under and no more than two adults per group. Guests are reminded the tickets are free and may not be sold.

Parking is not available near the White House. The National Park Service strongly encourages the use of public transportation. The closest Metro stops are Metro Center, Federal Triangle, and McPherson Square.
