View exhibits relating to the history of the Presidential Inaugurations including "Inauguration Day", "Inaugural Parades", "Inauguration Site", "Inauguration Oath and Address", "Inaugural Balls" and "Inaugurations and Technology". This exhibit is on display from November 4 through March 30, 2009 at the White House Visitor Center. (The White House Visitor Center will be closed on Inauguration Day.)

In 1790 George Washington selected a ridge overlooking the Potomac River as the site for the President's House. Known today as President's Park, this was the first land acquired for the District of Columbia.
