HART - Housatonic Area Regional Transit

Visitors can use the HART Bus to access the Branchville Train Station. Please consult the HART website for information on schedules and routes. The train station is located 1 and 1/2 miles from Weir Farm NHS. Please consider methods other than walking from the station. The walk is quite strenuous and not ideal for foot traffic. Private taxi services are available on a limited basis in the area.

MTA - Metropolitan Transportation Authority

Trains arrive at the Branchville Station generally every few hours. However, check the Metro-North schedule on the MTA website for further details. The station is located 1 and 1/2 miles from Weir Farm NHS. Please consider methods other than walking from the station. The walk is quite strenuous and not ideal for foot traffic. Did You Know?
Painter Julian Alden Weir installed stars on the ceiling of all three of his studios. He had three studios: one in New York City, one in Windham, CT and one behind his home in Branchville, CT. Visitors can still see the stars in his Branchville studio at Weir Farm National Historic Site.
