9:00 AM - 5:00 PM: Visitor Center
View artwork, watch the introductory video or browse the museum store in the Burlingham House Visitor Center. Maps and other informational brochures are also available.

9:00 AM - 4:00 PM: Take Part in Art
Pick up sketching or painting supplies on the porch of the visitor center to enjoy the fun of creating art en plein air as artists have at the farm for over 125 years.

10:00 AM - 2:00 PM: Professional Artists
Visit with local professional artists as they share their passion for plein air sketching and painting. Each artist will be indicated in the landscape by a numbered palette sign. Reference the map on the back for each artist’s location.

11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, and 3:00 PM: Plein Air Art Tours
Join a park ranger for a 30-minute tour of the landscape to learn about the history and tradition of plein air painting at the farm.

2:30 PM - 4:00 PM: End-of-Day Exhibition
Join the local professional artists in the
Burlingham Barn for an end-of-day exhibition. Bring your own artwork to tack up on the barn walls or take a look at what others have created!

Did You Know?
Weir Farm National Historic Site is located in the historic town of Branchville, Connecticut. It was named for the "branch" of the train line that used to connect the Danbury railroad to the center of Ridgefield, Connecticut.
