From Thursday July 18 through October 2013, a new exhibit of oil paintings and ink drawings by modern-day American Impressionist Dmitri Wright of Greenwich, Connecticut will be on display at Weir Farm National Historic Site. Impressions of Spring builds on his recent exhibition at Weir Farm National Historic Site, featuring new reflections on the park’s historic landscape. Expect to see artwork inspired by Weir Farm National Historic Site’s most beloved spring features, including apple blossoms, daffodils, peonies, and even a few plein air painters! The exhibit can be viewed in the Burlingham House Visitor Center Wednesday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Three gallery talks titled American Impressionism & Plein Air will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday August 17, Sunday September 15, and Saturday October 12.
