Burlingham House Visitor Center Closed
Please note the visitor center is closed December 1, 2013 through March 31, 2014. Park grounds are open daily year-round from dawn to dusk. Maps, brochures, and the Passport to Your National Parks stamp are available on the porch of the visitor center.
Winter Weather Information
Although park grounds remain open in snowy weather, snow removal will be minimal and restrooms may be locked. Be aware and plan ahead, as trails and parking areas may not be cleared. Use caution if driving to the park, as road conditions may be hazardous.
You can earn a Weir Farm Junior Ranger badge by completing one of the following two activities and can earn the special Weir Farm Junior Ranger patch by completing both of the following activities!
Junior Ranger Letterboxing Booklet
The Junior Ranger Letterboxing Booklet directs you to use guided clues to navigate the landscape and locate stamps in hidden locations. Five containers, or letterboxes, have been hidden at various locations at the farm.
Junior Ranger Pond Pack Booklet
For those looking for a nature walk, we have the Junior Ranger Pond Pack, a backpack containing art and nature-oriented activities to complete on a hike around Weir Pond.
We encourage you to bring your friends and family and appreciate your carpooling when possible due to limited parking available.
If you are planning to bring a group that will arrive in 3 or more vehicles, please contact the park at 203-834-1896 x11 to make arrangements.
Please note that our parking lot cannot accommodate RVs or buses.
