National Public Lands Day at Weir Farm National Historic Site
On Saturday, September 27 from 9:00 to 11:00 am, Weir Farm National Historic Site will host a habitat restoration event. Registration for this event is required and space is limited. To register or for more information, please call Volunteer Coordinator Kristin Lessard at 203-834-1896 ext. 11.

Fall Impressionist Painting Workshop for Beginning Artists
Weir Farm National Historic Site will be offering a two-day Fall Impressionist Painting Workshop on Saturday and Sunday, October 4 and October 5 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Registration is required. Workshops is designed for beginning art students and artists.

New Van Alen Institute/NPS competition calls on teams of young professionals to rethink the national park visitor experience for the 21st century. The deadline for registration and electronic submission of the RFQ is 11:59 p.m. EDT on October 30, 2014 via the competition website.
