Island Trail Loop Partially Closed
5/13/2013: The north facing side of the Island Trail loop will be closed for trail construction Monday - Thursday. The entire trail will be reopened on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Please call 928-526-3367 for more information. More »

**Entry to park trails closes 1- hour before the monument closes.** Park entrance road, trails, and Visitor Center are open all year, except December 25.
Hours: November - April 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM MST May - October 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM MSTNOTE: Most of Arizona does not observe Daylight Savings Time. We stay on Mountain Standard Time year-round. |

Did You Know?
Original proposals in 1915 called for establishment of a Cliffs National Monument at Walnut Canyon. The name was changed to Walnut Canyon National Monument to avoid confusion with a nearby railroad siding, mill town, and post office called Cliffs.
