There is no camping in the monument.

However, Bonito Campground, operated by the US Forest Service, is located across from the visitor center at Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument.

This campground is generally open from late May through mid-October. There are no hook-ups.

Did You Know?

An Arizona walnut tree

Walnut Canyon National Monument's name came from the Arizona walnut, a tree once common in the canyon bottom. It is less so now, because dams constructed upstream have decreased water flow through the canyon.
