The 145th Anniversary Event Rescheduled
The 145th Anniversary Event on Sunday December 8, featuring Dr. Elliott West, has been postponed due to deteriorating weather conditions in Oklahoma.
If you are planning a special event please contact the park for more information. You may need a special use permit for certain types of activities. These include; filming, commercial ventures, large groups of people, etc. which might impact the commemorative significance of the site or other park visitors.

Did You Know?
The distant hills north of Washita Battlefield are called the Horseshoe Hills. These hills were formed as a result of erosion of the softer surrounding material about 250 million years ago, leaving the harder Doxey Shale behind.
