Park Cooperation

Heart of the Continent is a Canadian/American coalition of land managers and local stakeholders working together on corss-border projects that promote the economice, cultural and natural health of the lakes, forests and communities on the Minnesota/Ontario border. The Heart of the Continent consists of public lands and waters that span the international border from Rainy Lake in northeastern Minnestoat to the western shores of Lake Superior in Ontario and Minnesota.

Did You Know?

Park volunteer, Ida Mainville steers a canoe full of modern-day voyageurs.

You can see the park just as the voyageurs did over 200 years ago.  Each summer the park offers guided trips aboard a 26-foot North Canoe.  Call for more infomation at 1-888-381-2873.
