Rainy Lake Area Programs and Tours Tour Boat Reservations All Voyageur and Borealis tour boat reservations are now handled by Reserve America. Reservations can now be made up to 3 months in advance either online or by telephone. Please see the tour boat reservation page for more information about this system. Low Water Levels The park may operate the Borealis tour boat in place of the Voyageur when low water levels do not permit the use of the Voyageur.

Voyageur Tour Boat Schedule Discovery Cruise (accessible) Discover the wonders and beauty of Voyageurs National Park. The captain will navigate Rainy Lake in search of abandoned gold mines, abundant wildlife and a view of a historic commercial fishing camp. Adult $25, Child $15. Grand Tour (accessible) This tour is a combination of the Discovery Cruise with a stop at Little American Island where gold was discovered in the 1890's (1/4 mile accessible walk). Adult $30, Child $15.
A north canoe voyage Canoe Tours North Canoe Wednesdays Paddle back in history aboard a 26-foot North Canoe. Learn the voyageur paddle salute and explore the life of a voyageur. Minimum age is 5. Wild Rose found in the Ethno-botanical Garden Other Naturalist-led Programs Ethno-botanical Step back in time and visit a native plant garden and an Ojibwe lodge. Learn about native flora, exotic species, and their mark on the park (accessible 1/4 mile walk). Meet a park naturalist at the flag pole to start your tour. Solar Viewing (accessible) Join a park ranger and explore the closest star in the sky - our sun. |
Did You Know?
There are food lockers, picnic tables, tent pad sites, fire rings and a privy at many of the sites. Pick up a Campsite, Houseboat, and Day Use Site map at a visitor center.
