Campsites at Voyageurs National Park

Types of Campsites

Small Campsites maximum of 9 people with two tent pads.

Day Use Site for picnic and daily activities.

Large Campsite designed for a maximum of 18 people.

Houseboat Sites designed for maximum of 2 Houseboats.

Group Campsite designed for groups larger than 18 people, maximum of 30 people.

Accessible Campsite designed for wheelchairs with chairlift availability.

  • Two group campsites are available with the following facilities
  • 7 tent pads must be used for tents
  • 4 Food Storage Lockers
  • 1 enclosed vaulted toilet
  • dock space for 8-10 boats
  • Designed for a maximum of 30 people
  • 2 fire rings (must use fire ring for campfires)
  • Picnic tables and scenic vistas
  • At each site, a tent pad, a picnic table, food storage locker, and a vaulted toilet are wheelchair accessible (park will provide a wheelchair lift for the dock upon request, request require 3 days advanced notice to the park)

Did You Know?

An immature bald eagle perches on a branch on its former nesting tree.

Voyageurs National Park experienced a large, lightning-ignited fire on the Kabetogama Peninsula in 2004.  This young eagle survived the fire and returned to its former nesting tree in time for park researchers to take this photo!
