The park is open.

International Falls, MN – Due to recent high water levels within the park, all of the park's Backcountry trails, campsites, day use sites, and day use boat rentals have been temporarily closed.

This closure does not affect most Frontcountry boat-in campsites on the park's four large lakes, Rainy, Namakan, Kabetogama, and Sand Point.Boat-in sites remain open unless previously closed due to eagle nesting or high water.

The park has started evaluating and repairing damage in the Backcountry. Plans to reopen the Backcountry are targeted for July 21, 2014.Visitors who wish to rebook reservations for the Backcountry may do so starting July 21, 2014 at www.recreation.gov.

Once again, this closure does not include most Frontcountry boat-in campsites within Voyageurs National Park.
