Voyageurs National Park Presents Wonders of the Night Sky

 Have you ever wondered how to identify the constellations in the night sky, why there are so many colors in the Northern Lights, or why we do not see the moon every night? Come spend a family friendly afternoon with ranger naturalist Kim Reich learning the answers to these questions and more.

Meet at the Rainy Lake Visitor Center on Sunday, March 6, 2011. The program runs from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and is recommended for ages 7 and up.

This program is sponsored by Voyageurs National Park Association. No fee or registration is required to attend.

Visitors are encouraged to come early to browse through the museum, check out the winter displays in the interactive area, and go snowshoeing or skiing.

Your choice in fishing tackle can have an effect on park wildlife.  It takes only one lead sinker to kill a loon.  Non-lead alternatives are available in local stores and at Voyageurs National Park visitor centers.
