Snowshoeing at Voyageurs National Park

Gather your kids, friends, and family and join a park ranger for a guided snowshoe hike in Voyageurs National Park. Different habitats in the park will be explored each week.

Dates and Times:

Sunday, February 10: 1:00 - 3:00 pm

Sunday, February 17: 1:00 - 3:00 pm

Friday, February 22: 6:30 - 8:00 pm (Full Moon Hike)

Sunday, February 24: 1:00 - 3:00 pm

Sunday, March 3: 1:00 -3:00 pm

Full Moon Hike - meet inside the Rainy Lake Visitor Center for a short program on moon phases then enjoy a hike in the park. Afterwards enjoy a warm campfire.

Snowshoes are provided. Suggested items to bring along include: water, sunglasses, camera, trekking poles, and warm layers. If bringing a headlamp for the Full Moon Hike, the red or green-colored lights work best. No fee or registration is required to attend.

Voyageurs National Park is a great place to snowshoe in the winter. Bring your own or borrow a pair from the Rainy Lake Visitor Center for free!
