To authorize the establishment of the Voyageurs National Park in the State of Minnesota, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the purpose of this Act is to preserve, for the inspiration and enjoyment of present and future generations, that outstanding scenery, geological conditions, and water system which constituted a part of that historic route of the Voyageurs who contributed significantly to the opening of the Northwestern United States.

National Park Service was establish "...to promote and regulate the use of the ...national parks...which purpose is to conserve the scenery and the natural and historic objects and the wildlife therein and to provide for the enjoyment of the same in such a manner and by such a means as will leave them unimpaired for the enjoyment of future generations."
