Let's Move Outside
Lets Move Outside encourages kids and their families to engage in outdoor activities that get hearts pumping and bodies moving. Part of First Lady Michelle Obama's nationwide Let's Move campaign to end childhood obesity within a generation, the program is now underway in national parks across the nation.Voyageurs National Park is pleased to be one of the 36 national park units participating in the program. Kids who complete at least one physical activity during their visit to Voyageurs will receive an official Let's Move Outside sticker. Kids who participate in a physical activity while completing their Junior Ranger books will receive a sticker that designates them as an official Let's Move Outside Junior Ranger.
Thousands of kids across the country have earned the title this summer while discovering that exercise can be a blast. Here at Voyageurs National Park, there are a variety of active outdoor activities to participate in during both summer and winter:

Did You Know?
Voyageurs National Park experienced a large, lightning-ignited fire on the Kabetogama Peninsula in 2004. This young eagle survived the fire and returned to its former nesting tree in time for park researchers to take this photo!
